Sharjah Municipality Food Safety Program(SFSP)

The Sharjah Food Safety Program (SFSP) is a government initiative being led by Sheikha Dr Rasha Al-Qassemi (pictured on the right) and the Quality and Health Education Office (QHEO) of Sharjah Municipality, in the Emirate of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The program involves innovative and integrated food safety training, assessment, management system implementation, audit and certification for the food sector in Sharjah, which includes over 7,000 food service, food retail, and food manufacturing businesses.

The primary aim of the SFSP is to improve food safety standards in the Emirate of Sharjah. This relates to overall food safety practices, and importantly does not only seek to improve food safety knowledge, but also positively impact attitude and behaviour

GHP managers Training(Sharjah)

All Managers engaged in the food business and food service industries like restaurants, cafes, catering, hotels, food stuff trading, food stuff warehouses, groceries, coffee shops, supermarkets without catering etc, in the Emirates Sharjah in line with the requirements of the Food Control Department of Sharjah Municipality.

To Provide GHP Training In Sharjah for Managers with the requirements of the food safety department of Sharjah Municipality. To impart adequate knowledge of safe handling food to achieve the most relevant good hygiene practices pertaining to the basics of food safety and good hygiene practices in food distribution businesses.

Training Details

  • The G.H.P Training For Managers is a computer-based PowerPoint presentation with set in videos.
  • It takes six hours duration; which includes two coffee breaks (5 minutes), a lunch break (30 minutes).
  • The maximum number of attendees should not exceed 15 nos. in each session.
  • End of the session, the course materials and handouts are distributed to all attendees.
  • After the successful completion of the training, Examination is conducted by Sharjah Municipality and certificates are provided by TSI.
  • Candidates must have a valid Emirates ID card

GHP Staff Training(Sharjah)

  • TThe maximum number of attendees should not exceed 15 nos. in each session.
  • TEnd of the session, the course booklet are distributed to all attendees.
  • TAs per Sharjah Municipality regulation only one language is allowed in one session.
  • Candidates must have a valid Emirates ID card
